Ari Tancred Desire Round 1As Tancred stepped through the mirror he felt a brief chill run down his spine which was suddenly replaced with a stuffy, warm atmosphere and the shadowy corridor of the passage was changed into a brightly lit antechamber complete with an overabundance of superfluous columns and paintings. At the far end of the room Tancred could make out a large gate and a humanoid statue.  Not seeing anyone else in the open room, Tancred holsters his mace and begins to examine the artwork that covers the walls.  “Hmm, looks like someone decided to do a bit of editing on these. Dammit FMA, you know that I'm trying to study for a test I have tomorrow morning. Why do you have to be so much more interesting.

So yeah, from what I can piece together Bones is producing a new FMA series "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" that is going to be more attached to the manga plot.

You have no idea how happy this makes me Internet.

I watched the anime before I read the manga and the anime completely parts ways around the Greed arc without so much as a glance behind it while the manga continues to post its once-a-month high quality chapters. Other people have already posted journals and whatnot describing exactly how they differ so I won't waste your precious time trying to enunciate my own detailed description.

Suffice to say, ever since I watched the first subbed episode an hour ago I can't stop grinning. Not from joy about the episode (don't get me wrong, it was pretty good but not I-can't-stop-smiling good)but from hope Internet, hope for the future of the series.

I can honestly say that I haven't been genuinely excited for an anime series for quite a while but I sincerely hope that this one succeeds.

Here's hoping
